Press ReleasesBroken Spirits Network Kicks Off their Internet Safety Awareness Campaign.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AUGUST 28, 2001 - In an effort to improve the safety of its viewers the Broken Spirits Network has become completely friendly to anonymous users and no longer stores cookies on its visitors machines. With the recent removal of all major safety risks, the Broken Spirits Network announces the opening of the Internet Safety Awareness Section. This section is devoted to helping viewers navigate the internet safely. Topics covered are: removing internet cache, deleting a history item, removing a cookies, setting up an anonymous email account, and safely using newsgroup discussions. In addition there is a sections for webmasters to help make their sites anonymous user friendly and safe for their viewers. In the upcoming Phase 2, Broken Spirits will be joining forces with several other major abuse sites to form the Internet Safety Focus Group (ISFG). It focus will be on making web sites as safe for their viewers as possible. The ISFG is set to launch on October 22nd 2001. About the Broken Spirits Network
The Broken Spirits Network is an online community and support group that focuses on aiding both current and past victims of child abuse, sexual abuse, and domestic violence. Broken Spirits provides a comprehensive list of shelters, hotlines and organizations that can provide help for potential victims. In addition to the national abuse resource listing is a comprehensive discussion forum where users can create their own virtual identity within complete confidentiality. This allows people to discuss the happenings of their life without letting others know who they really are. Another point of interest is the information section of the site where you can find a reference of common symptoms of abuse and also find methods to prevent becoming a victim. With the help of the media, abuse related organizations, and the friends & families of victims, the Broken Spirits Network hopes to provide essential attention to victims in need.
