Emergency Bag & Escape Plan
Here is a list of items that you will want to pack in case you need to leave in a hurry:
- Change of clothes for you, and your children
- Toys for the children
- Money, credit cards, property deeds, ownership papers for house and car.
- Letters from the batterer, photographs of injuries, and any other incriminating evidence
- Medications
- Police reports, restraining orders, court orders
- Any sentimental items (photos, jewelry, etc.)
- Extra keys to house, car, work, etc.
- Names, addresses and phone numbers of people you can trust.
- School and medical records
- Insurance papers and cards
- ID (social security card, birth certificates, etc.)
- Any other personal necessities
